Lola Berry: An Inspirational Yogi & Entrepreneur
Lola Berry has always inspired our team at Yogi Peace Club. She is Australia’s favourite nutritionist, yoga and crystal loving hippie! We adore Lola and her love of healthy food and yoga that feature in her stunning inspirational cookbook. With a Bachelor of Health Science (majoring in Nutritional Medicine at Endeavour College of Natural Health), Lola Berry knows what she’s talking about when it comes to health, wellness and delicious food!
We recently caught up with Lola to talk about her latest business called "Lola Coffee". Lola Coffee is certainly unique and has been created to bring you a healthy instant coffee, which is laced with the medicinal mushroom “Lions Mane” to help enhance your health and cognitive function. Lions mane is a super medicinal mushroom that have been used by Ancient Chinese medicine since the 12th century that has many health benefits.
During the covid lockdown Lola was living in Torquay so we got to see her in our home town, but she has recently moved to Byron Bay. We caught on the phone to discuss whats happening in her life as part of International Women's Day.
Which female has been the most inspirational person in your life?
Nan!! She was such a fiery passionate woman and super cheeky!

What is your favourite yoga pose?
Dancers Pose I love backbends, but what a love about Dancers is that it also requires balance.
If you could live anywhere, where would it be?
I love living in Byron Bay and I am so grateful to be here. I will use this as my base but hopefully can split my time and spend time abroad, potentially in Hawaii and L.A.
How long have you practiced yoga?
I have practiced for 12 years and I have completed four teacher training over this time.
What is your proudest accomplishment?
Well actually it's the fact that I make my Dad proud – That would be my proudest achievement, making him proud!
What are you reading currently?
I am trying to read a book a week. Currently I am reading Matthew McConaughey's book titles "Greenlights" I love reading it with a Texan accent!

Yang 100% however I reposed to yin very well. I need yin time to recharge. This week I am travelling to Gaia retreat for some yin time.

That I can be strong. I love the ability to a women and be strong, but at the same time I love to feel feminine.

Back yourself in what you choose. Whatever it is you must believe in what you do and know that all good things take at least three times longer than you think!

What inspired you to make Lola Coffee?
I love coffee, and I used to take a coffee sachet to my boyfriends house and mix with Lions Mane which is a medicinal mushroom. He tried it and started adding the it to his coffee and loved the benefits of the Lions Mane. That’s how it all started, we created something out of of love for coffee and the benefits of the Lion's Mane.
What is the best part of owning your own business?
The best part about owning your own business is that get to create a dream into a reality. By planting a seed it can birth an idea. I love the design process from creating a prototype, to designing the packaging and product testing. It's such an organic process that you get to start from scratch.
