From Sketchbook to Clothing - The Story Behind Marrakesh
Designed by Yogi Peace Club's Head of Design & Creative, Megan Faye, the Marrakesh print is inspired by the colours, architecture and craftsmanship found throughout one of the world's most vibrant cities - Marrakesh.
Megan has developed a creative practice inspired by traditional textiles, ancient cultures and handmade crafts. Walking through Marrakech is an experience of colour, texture and pattern. From carved timber doors and intricate tiled courtyards to woven textiles and bustling artisan markets, creativity is woven into everyday life.
Inspiration from Marrakesh
The Marrakesh print brings together the feeling of the city, its warmth, craftsmanship and rich decorative details into a design that feels both timeless and contemporary.
From sketchbook to woodblock
Megan first sketches each element using traditional drawing techniques, gradually building the artwork through pencil, pen and printmaking.
The final illustration is then carefully translated by skilled artisans in India, who hand carve the design into wooden printing blocks. Each colour is printed individually onto soft breathable cotton using centuries-old block printing techniques.

Together, Megan and YPC Founder Em, have created a collection that is beautiful to wear and practice yoga in. Each piece carries the story of a journey inspired by ancient symbols, handmade traditions and the beauty found along the way.
