YOGA MAT CARE, NATURAL WEAR & CONSUMER GUARANTEES
Our Yogi Peace Club yoga mats are thoughtfully designed using natural rubber and carefully selected surface materials.
UNDERSTANDING THE LIFESPAN OF YOUR YOGA MAT
Like running shoes or wetsuits, yoga mats are performance products that naturally wear with use.
Our mats are made with natural rubber and carefully selected surface materials. These materials are subject to ageing and wear, and their lifespan will vary depending on frequency of practice, intensity of use, perspiration, body oils, climate, cleaning and storage.
Over time, you may notice:
- Changes in colour or surface appearance
- Marks from hands, feet and natural body oils
- Gradual wear in areas of frequent contact
- Changes to the surface texture with regular use
These changes can be a normal part of using a yoga mat and do not necessarily indicate a manufacturing defect.
Our 3-month manufacturer's warranty covers manufacturing defects, not normal wear and tear.
All products are also covered by Australian Consumer Law. We assess concerns about premature deterioration, including delamination, individually, taking into account the age of the mat, how it has been used and cared for, and reasonable durability expectations.
LOOKING AFTER YOUR MAT
To help maintain your mat:
- Follow the care instructions provided for your particular mat.
- Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight and extreme heat.
- Never leave your mat in a hot car.
- Avoid harsh cleaning products, essential oils and chemical sprays.
- Allow your mat to dry completely before storing it.
- Store your mat in a cool, dry place.
3-MONTH MANUFACTURER'S WARRANTY
All Yogi Peace Club yoga mats include a 3-month limited manufacturer's warranty from the date of purchase, covering manufacturing defects.
This voluntary warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, cosmetic changes, misuse, improper cleaning or storage, or deterioration resulting from environmental exposure.
Natural rubber and bonded surface materials can gradually age and deteriorate with use and environmental exposure. Over time, this may include changes in surface texture, grip or bonding between layers.
Delamination caused by normal ageing, wear or improper care is not covered by our manufacturer's warranty. However, delamination caused by a manufacturing defect within the 3-month warranty period is covered.
This manufacturer's warranty is additional to your rights under Australian Consumer Law. The expiry of the 3-month warranty does not automatically exclude a claim under those rights.
FAULTY PRODUCTS
We stand behind the quality of our products.
If you believe your yoga mat has a manufacturing defect or has not met the applicable consumer guarantees, please contact returns@yogipeaceclub.com with your order number, a description of the issue and photos where possible.
We will review your concerns and provide an appropriate remedy where required under Australian Consumer Law.
Normal wear and tear is not, by itself, a product defect. However, premature deterioration or failure to meet reasonable durability expectations may be covered by Australian Consumer Law.
Your statutory consumer rights are not limited by the age of your mat or by this policy.
