JADE FROM PANACEAS PANTRY

NATUROPATH | YOGI | VEGAN | PANACEAS PANTRY | NATURE

This week I had the  pleasure of speaking with the gorgeous Jade, one of the sisters and creators of Panaceas Pantry.

The sisters started their journey into food 2 years ago, after finishing a trip around Australia. It was just before the birth of Jade's first daughter Frankie.

Jade and Kath started simply by playing with food and photography. The girls didn't really have a goal in mind, they just followed their passions. The word "Panacea" is Greek Goddess of Health and healing, so their pages are dedicated to all the 'things' inside "Panaceas Pantry" that are both healthy and healing.

Jade is a Naturopath, and when she is not in the kitchen or with Frankie, you can find her on her yoga mat or in her garden chilling out and connecting to nature.

5 mins with Jade from Panaceas Pantry

I am inspired by:

Nature. I could list so many things, but it all comes back to that. Birdsong at sunrise, a thunderstorm, a beautiful sunset, the smell of eucalyptus on a hot day. What could ever beat Mother Nature?!

My passion for healthy food started when:

Our parents really set the path for us, which I'm so blessed for. We generally ate a whole foods diet. We were raised vegetarian, and enjoyed home grown vegetables. The my passion was really cemented when I begun my Naturopathic studies.

The one thing that makes me happy is:

Family and Nature. I need both!

The best thing about my job is:

It's pretty flexible, and I get to be a working, stay-at-home mum. I love that, and wouldn't change it for the world. Besides that - I love how much I'm learning. How I'm constantly curving my lifestyle to be more wholesome and conscious and sustainable. That rocks.

When I wake in the morning the first thing I do is:

Drink tea!

Other people would describe me as:

Calm

To live a healthier life you can start by:

Get more sunshine and fresh air. Turn off your phone. Learn to let go of the chatter inside your head.

A tip for someone who wants to become vegan but is unsure how to start:

Get yourself educated. Rather than 'giving up' animal products, fuel yourself with knowledge so you can replace animal products with plant alternatives. Don't beat yourself up if you find it hard, but rather, focus on the positives and congratulate yourself for each change you make.

If i were animals I would be:

A bird, with out doubt.

My favourite yoga poses are:

I love getting into any variation of the pigeon pose, or any thing that opens my heart. What a good release!

I love yoga because:

It's taught me that stress is optional (except in very rare circumstances)- and that is the most beautiful lesson ever.

Thanks so much to Jade for the interview.
